Loyal Legends: John Terry And Steven Gerrard
These days it’s hard to find a ‘one club’ football legend. The commercial realities of the game mean that clubs are able to make vast sums from selling prized talent that their youth system has nurtured. This very fact makes it incredibly sentimental that two of England’s current heroes, Steven Gerrard and John Terry, have an enduring relationship with their original teams.
When John Terry joined Chelsea as a midfielder at 14, it took a temporary switch to central defence for his true talents to shine. He has gone on to become the most successful captain in Chelsea’s history with three Premier League titles, three FA Cups and two League Cup titles. He now has the chance to add to that FA Cup tally and deliver the double for the first time in the clubs history.While in 2009 Terry almost signed with Manchester City, it did not materialise and Terry has since signed a contract to remain at Chelsea until at least 2014.
After joining the Liverpool youth academy at the age of nine, Steven Gerrard has only once considered another offer, from Terry’s Chelsea team. Soon after came a driving performance on a field in Istanbul in May 2005 and a Champions League final victory that will forever define the player. "How can I leave after a night like this?" he famously asked afterwards. He followed this with another talismanic performance in the 2006 FA Cup Final when Liverpool thrillingly defeated West Ham on penalties.
While no-one can presume that John Terry and Steven Gerrard will remain for the rest of their careers, the commitment and longevity they’ve shown are a throw back to less transient days. Of the XI World Cup winners from 1966, fully eight of the players could maintain that they were one club men going into the tournament. Many modern day supporters are counting on these heroes to span the decades since and bring back the trophy this summer.

I have several original signatures of current NBA star, Josh Smith (Atlanta Hawks). I have shoes, shirts, jerseys, magazines, Rookie Cards, and more. I have some of his game worn attire from the NBA along with some of his street clothes from high school. I also have a rare autographed Lebron James authentic away jersey, signed by Lebron himself. I have signatures and game worn attire of current NBA point guard, Rajon Rondo (Boston Celtics). Having said all of this, I do not have a Certificate of Authenticity for any of these items. Some of them have pictures of the item being signed, but overall, I don't have any COA's. I know some of these guys personally and don't have much use for the items anymore. I am willing to sell some of my stuff, but I don't know where. Does anyone know where I could sell?
