How can illegal alien kids go to school and not get deported?
If they go to a public school, and the school knows their family is here illegally, is it legal for the school to just turn a blind eye? I know of a family, very nice people who have had kids in school for 7 years and I would not want them to get deported. But I'm just wondering how it is they have not gotten busted.
I read the page that Vivac suggested. Sounds like they concluded it is not worth it to keep children from a public education even though they entered into this country illegally because the kids didn't have a choice, and because of the same reason Bruce said in his comment.

It all has to do with money--money and more money. The same government which states that illegal immigrants can not stay in this country--also protects the children of these illegal immigrants under the 14th amendment. The Supreme Court ruled that it is "unwise" to deny illegal alien children the right to an education.
