Release - Twilight Eclipse DVD
The original novel based on a vampire romance which was written by Stephanie Meyer was an instant best seller after it was published in 2005 and was the largest selling book of 2008 and sold more than 17 million copies across the world. It is interesting to note 14 agents originally rejected the book! But could anyone even Meyer herself have imagined how much of a commercial success the films and subsequent twilight saga dvds would be?
The film adaptation of Twilight hit uk screens in December 2008 with Robert Pattinson playing the lead role of Edward Cullen, Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black and Kristen Stewart as leading lady Bella Swann. The film was an instant success and fan across the globe waited for news of the inevitable release of the dvd twilight in the third month of 2009. The next film New Moon followed quickly and emulated the huge success of Twilight and again the DVD release closely followed which solidified the saga as must see DVDs for fantasy film lovers.. Twilight New Moon is so far the fastest selling DVD of 2010.
The third film in the saga Eclipse was released in the uk on 30th June 2010 grossing $262 million in its first five days of release and the Twilight DVD Eclipse is set to be the biggest selling DVD for Christmas in 2010. the Eclipse DVD is now available for pre-odering and with the part 1 of the final installment, Breaking Dawn, which will be screening from 18th November this year, Christmas sales for Twilight DVDs will no doubt be breaking the record books.
The really good thing about all the Twilight films is you are totally drawn into them whether you are watching on the big screen or on DVD it does not matter and you cannot wait for the next one plus you dont have to wait long either. This is where twilight shines,it doesn't keep its fans waiting.
