Your quest to learning to train a puppy will be much more effective if you track and test your progress along the way. As simple as it sounds there's a lot more to it than you think, as it will give you something to refer back to, and look to teach your puppy new tricks as he gets older. Taking notes is a means of recording what has worked well for your puppy, and what areas either need more attention or a different approach. Organizing your plan of attack is your first task when preparing for how to train a puppy, as it will make a big difference when moving your puppy from his familiar surroundings to the new and strange world you are providing for him. A young pup can suffer separation anxiety when his mother and littermates suddenly disappear, and he is thrust into an entirely new environment with a whole range of new and unknown faces and scents.
And it's not just puppies and young dogs. Adult dogs can also experience separation anxiety by the upheaval when moved to new homes. Don't forget your dog will need lots of reassurance when you take him away from his old home; all he knows is that he is in a strange and somewhat frightening place.
Although it is not always possible, an ideal plan would be to visit your puppy or dog at his current home. There will be some familiar ground for him then, when he does finally move to your place. Just as parents prepare for the arrival of a new baby and fill the home with everything we think the baby will need for a happy and healthy start, training a puppy tips is just the same. Having a different number of legs shouldn't mean you get less priority.

All dogs entering a new living arrangement will need discipline, patience, and comfort. However, all your work will pay dividends in the future.
