Star Wars Characters I Love

There are so many memorable characters from the Star Wars movies that it is difficult to choose a favorite. If you prefer handsome characters, there is always Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. If you want the pretty characters, how about Princess Leia or Queen Amidala? If you're like me and find the wise characters the most appealing, how about Yoda or Obi Wan Kenobi? If you want to be a villain, Darth Vader is the obvious choice. Then, there are the downright funny ones such as R2D2, C-3P0, Jar Jar Binks, Chewbacca and Jabba the Hut.

Everyone who loves the Star Wars movies will have their own top three list, and could argue their case until the end of time. Nevertheless, I'm going to tell you about my own three favorite characters. It wasn't easy to pick from all my favorites.

1.    Yoda.

Possibly the strangest character in Star Wars is Yoda. He doesn't look much but looks can be very deceiving. Yoda may be small but he is a powerful Jedi Master and has attained mastery of the Force. His skills with the light sabre are legendary and he is one of the wisest of the Jedi. So, remember not to judge a book by its cover. This is the lesson that Yoda teaches us. For example, in The Empire Strikes back Luke Skywalker is sent to Yoda for training. He initially thinks that this strange character is quite comical, but to his shock discovers that Yoda is the Jedi Master he'd been sent to see. Yoda teaches Luke almost everything he knows about the Force and imparts many words of wisdom which sets him on his path of self-discovery. In fact, it is all neatly summed up when Yoda states "Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is…."

2.    Han Solo

I think that Han Solo is probably the favorite character os most women who watch Star Wars. Played by the wonderful Harrison Ford, he was one cool character. Han Solo is just an ordinary but courageous man. He doesn't have Jedi powers like Luke. Han starts out as a sarcastic mercenary but ends up as a hero fighting for the greater good. He becomes a much more compassionate person and as a consequence Princess Leia falls in love with him.

3.    Princess Leia

I particularly like Princess Leia. She has many great qualities. Not only is she beautiful but she is very dedicated and compassionate. These are all positive attributes that all young women should aspire to. You may be surprised to know that, like her twin brother Luke, she learned some ways of using the Force. It's a fact that she gained great skill in the light sabre and became a skilled Jei Knight herself. Probably, one of the most memorable things about Leia, especially for all the men in the world, is her metal bikini, also known as her slave costume.
